The Building Codes Committee of AIA NY is committed to educating our members on the ever changing construction code landscape for building in New York City.
This entails presentations by various city, and sometimes state agencies, with the occasional multi-agency discussion. There are also meetings with the private sector to discuss recent trends. We concern ourselves with not just the current code, but discuss potential procedural as well as technical changes and ways to make construction safer and the process smoother.
